2027 Election: Cubana Chief Priest Says Igbos Will Work for Tinubu’s Re-Election
Socialite and businessman Pascal Okechukwu, better known as Cubana Chief Priest, has expressed strong support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Cubana Chief Priest made the statement while speaking to supporters in Imo State, where he serves as the state director of the City Boy Movement, a political support group associated with President Tinubu.
During his address, the businessman claimed that people from the South-East now have better access to the presidency through Seyi Tinubu, the President’s son.
He suggested that this relationship would encourage more Igbos to support Tinubu’s bid for another term in office.
“We Igbos now have access to Mr. President Tinubu through his son, Seyi Tinubu. That’s why we’re doing everything to make sure he’s re-elected,” he said.
Cubana Chief Priest also spoke about the growing political activities of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State.
He claimed that thousands of residents were registering with the party, describing the development as a sign of increasing support.
He further praised the City Boy Movement for adopting what he described as a different style of political mobilisation.
According to him, supporters should not separate their social lifestyle from their political activities.
The businessman maintained that the APC has strong backing in Imo State and urged members of the movement to remain committed to Tinubu’s political agenda.
“Ndi Imo don’t just love the City Boys Movement, they believe in it. Let’s do politics with lifestyle. On Asiwaju’s mandate, we shall stand. Imo is APC. Here, it’s zero competition,” he added.
His remarks come as political discussions and mobilisation efforts begin to gather momentum ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general elections. Political parties, support groups and politicians have increasingly started positioning themselves as they prepare for the next electoral contest.
Cubana Chief Priest has openly supported President Tinubu and has continued to participate in political mobilisation activities through the City Boy Movement.
His comments, however, reflect his personal political position and should not be interpreted as representing the views of all Igbos or residents of the South-East.
